I have lived with cats for almost my whole life. My husband and I don't have human kids, but in the time we've been together, we are lucky to have had three feline kids named Haru (the siamese), Mia (the black cat), and Mako (the tuxedo kitty). Haru passed away almost two years ago at the ripe old age of 21.5 years (RIP, sweet boy), so now we have Mia and Mako to keep us company. Our kitties know they are most important, so they like to sit on computer keyboards to distract me from working. :)

My dad is a huge Lakers and Dodgers fan, so I grew up watching them on tv. I am fortunate to have experienced Kobe's entire brilliant career (rest in peace, Mamba), to have watched the Dodgers win the 1988 World Series, and to now be able to watch LeBron, AD, Mookie, and Shohei (!!) dominate with their talent and ability. To me, both the Dodgers and Lakers as organizations exemplify hard work in the pursuit of excellence, and if I'm not playing with the cats or watching cat videos, I'm most likely watching a Dodger or Laker game!

My husband and I love visiting Mexico; we've traveled there 17 times together. We've also been lucky enough to travel to Greece, Costa Rica, Panama, Spain, Vietnam, Japan, and Puerto Rico. Experiencing other cultures and other ways of living enables me to understand the perspectives of others. I sincerely believe that if we all took the time to understand and put ourselves in the shoes of others not like ourselves, we wouldn't have poverty much less war.
